About Us

Archways Care is a small independent company established in 2005 to provide residential care for children and young people aged 8 to 18 years.
Our residential homes are situated across West Midlands - see our homes section for further details, each home accomodates up to four young people either gender, in a small group environment which are registered for emotional and behavioural difficulties.
In 2011, Archways Fostering opened in Bewdley, Worcestershire, which aims to provide a seamless care provision for the young people the organisation. We area waiting our Ofsted registration inspection.
What We Do
At Archways Care we firmly believe that care can be a positive experience for young people. Our homes are extremely well furnished, decorated and maintained, to provide a warm, friendly and welcoming environment.
We focus on providing consistency and appropriate boundaries for young people to enable us to work effectively and shape inappropriate behaviour.
How We Do It
Behaviour modification is achieved by implementing consistent boundaries, building appropriate, professional relationships by employing a social learning and a cognitive aspect to a young persons life. Positive behaviour is rewarded and negative behaviour is addressed through our day to day practices and our therapuetic approach. Each young person is encouraged to participate in the day to day running of the home and in decisions that affect them directly. We believe that young people should remain at the centre of their care.
At Archways Care, particular emphasis is given at the point of referral to ensure that we can meet the needs of a young person and that the admission will not be to the detriment of the young people already in placement.
We employ a committed staff team who are highly motivated and recieve comprehensive training to ensure the highest quality of care.
Our Therapist overlooks each young person's Behaviour/Placement/Care Plans to ensure that the work we do with a young person is appropriate and is meeting their individual needs. This ethos is conveyed via the weekly team meetings, individual linkworking sessions and implemented in the day to day operations of the home.
